Description: This project entailed the restoration of the oldest building in the Dublin Zoo (Victorian Toilets). The preservation of original stone wall was incorporated into the building.

Kelly & O'Callaghan Limited were involved in putting together the Pre-Tender Estimates, Bills of Quantities, Post-Contract Quantity Surveying- and Final Account works.

The project was funded by public money, and as such was subject to close scrutiny. The allowable Department budget was €5 million, our original cost estimate was €4.2 million and as a result of an open tender, and subsequent negotiations, this project was completed for €3.7 million.
